Firefighters were called to a car on fire at the McDonalds on Treloggan Road, Newquay, yesterday afternoon.
A call was received from the fast food restaurant on Treloggan Industrial estate just after 4pm to report that there was a car on fire in its drive through.
Two appliances with eleven firefighters were sent and found that thee vehicle fire had spread to the roof on the structure of the restaurant.
A request for a third appliance was made, with five firefighters from St Columb sent to the scene. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one main jet and one hose reel supplied by a hydrant to extinguish the flames.
