Children from Mabe Primary School had a spring in their step as they walked ten miles from Helford Passage to the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth.

The sponsored event, called walking on sunshine, was part of the spring festival guided walks organised by local company Walk it Cornwall.

Trudy Reid, of Friends of Mabe School, said: “The children with friends and family, walked from the Ferry Boat along the coastal paths to the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth, stopping along the way at Maenporth, and Ocean Bowl. The total amount raised is still being collected but should be around £1,500, this will go towards the schools solar panel project, with a target of £10,000.”
