Police are hunting a car thief after the driver of a stolen people carrier ran off after crashing it into another car on Thursday last week.

The green Citroen people carrier was stolen on April 17 at approximately 6.45pm from Polweath Road in Penzance.

A police spokesman said the vehicle was then involved in a traffic collision with a black Ford Ka in Tolver Road, Penzance and the "driver ran from the vehicle".

If anyone has any information about the identity of the Citroen driver or any information that may relate to this incident, call police on 101or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference number AP/14/891.
