Helston Museum will be hosting an exhibition of artwork by year 5 pupils from Porthleven School.
The show will display work from with pupils in Mussels class, who worked with Melanie Young , the Arts Awards co-ordinator for Cornwall, to achieve their Discover Award.
Tracey Clowes, assistant curator at the museum, said: “This has been a fantastic project. The children have responded in creative and innovative ways to the museum’s collections, and we are looking forward to sharing their work with our visitors.”
Using museum artefacts and old photographs as inspiration, the children have undertaken a range of art forms such as sculpture, poetry and dance.
Starting on Saturday the children’s work will be exhibited for one week at the museum, which is open, free, from 10am to 4pm.
There will be a preview on Friday night for friends and family, with a filmmaker documenting the event.
