Councillor Geoffrey Evans will be presiding over his final meeting of Falmouth Town Council on Monday as he prepares to step down as mayor and hand over the chain of office to his successor, John Body.
Mr Evans has held the office of mayor since 2009 and before that between 1976 and 1978, 1993 and 1995 and 2000 and 2002. His latest tenure comes to an end on May 12 when Mr Body is expected to be sworn in at the annual mayor making ceremony.
