Falmouth Town Council has awarded the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust £200 towards the £1,600 cost of a new capnograph.
The equipment measures carbon dioxide content in exhaled air and indicates how effectively a patient is breathing and how well they are responding to treatment.
The remainder of the cost was paid for by the Tanner Trust.
