Trevithick Day celebrations in Camborne: PICTURE GALLERY

While the Cornish weather brought showers and blustery winds to Camborne on Saturday, crowds still turned out to honour one of Cornwall's famous sons and celebrate Trevithick Day.

While rain arrived for the Bal Maidens and Miners dance, where hundreds of children from schools wore traditional dress and wound through the town, and a downpour hit the adults' Trevithick dance, the sun popped out in time for the spectacular steam engines.
