Firefighters were called to Fowey in the early hours of this morning after a 999 call saying a tug was taking on water after hitting rocks.
Appliances from Fowey and St Austell were called out just after 4am to help pump water from the engine compartment of The Cormilan.
The tug, which weighs about 35 tonnes hit rocks at 3.30am and while the crew managed to navigate the tug back to her berth in Fowey Harbour, firefighters were called in to help, using a light portable pump, ejector pumps and associated equipment to keep the water level stable.
No-one was injured and the boat has been surrounded by anti-pollution booms.
