St Keverne's annual fun dog show will be held this Sunday (May 4) providing plenty of activities for a family day out.

The event, now in its third year, is organised by the Friends of St Keverne School Committee to raise funds for the school.

Sarah Lambrick, who is helping to organise the event, said: “St Keverne School is very lucky to have its own outdoor swimming pool. The money raised at the dog show will help to pay for the ever increasing maintenance costs of the swimming pool for the coming year to ensure the children are able to use it as much as possible for their swimming lessons.”

The event will be held on St Keverne Playing Field on Sunday, May 4 from noon until 3pm.

Award categories include dog in best condition, best working type dog, dog agility, waggiest tail, dog most like its owner and dog the judge would most like to take home.

Other award categories include best dog over 14 inches, best terrier and best child handler 12 years and under, with awards also going to the best pair of dogs, and best in show/reserve.

There are even awards for the best dressed dog/fancy dress.

The entry fee is £1 per dog per class, and rosettes will be awarded up to fourth place.

A variety of stalls will also be at the event, ranging from toys to books, plus a licensed bar, barbecue and bouncy castle.
