Firefighters were called to the A39 at Lower Treluswell on Sunday after a report of a vehicle smoking after a crash.

Five firefighters on one appliance were called out to the single vehicle crash just before 2am after a vehicle left the road.

A spokesman said that the occupant was out of the vehicle but it was reported that it was smoking. Adding: "On arrival in was confirmed that there was no fire at the incident, crews made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the care of the police."
