A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a serious attack in Sennen, Cornwall over the weekend.
Police and ambulance crews were called to a property in the village just after 6am on Saturday 3rd May after a reports of a woman and children being assaulted.
A woman, aged 33, suffered a stab wound to her neck. Her three children were also injured - a 9 year-old boy suffered a head injury, a 7 year-old girl suffered facial injuries and a 5 year-old boy also suffered a head injury. All the victims were taken to Treliske for treatment. None of the injuries are life threatening or life changing.
Steven Challands, age 34, from Rotherham was charged with one count of attempted murder, four counts of false imprisonment, two counts of GBH and one count of ABH.
Challands has appeared at Truro Magistrates Court and was remanded to appear at Truro Crown Count on May 27.
