People setting off to enjoy Flora Day in Helston should maybe take a rain coat and an umbrella as heavy rain is forecast for Thursday.

The main event, the midday dance is set to see the worst of the rain, with the Met Office forecasting that it will be "heavy" and "rather breezy"

Tonight will be fairly cloudy with a few isolated showers this evening, but patchy rain will develop later, probably turning heavy and persistent by the end of the night.  °C.

Flora Day fans will awake to outbreaks of rain at times through much of Thursday, turning heavy at times, especially around the middle of the day.

It should become drier and brighter by the evening. The maximum temperature will be 17 °C.

With the crowds that are expected i dont think an umbrella would be a good idea especially as its going to be breezy too .What a shame for the Dancers and everyone who is involved in Helstons Special Day
