A new retail park could be built at Truro City's football ground, plans have revealed.

The plans by Helical Retail, would see furnishing and other non-food business retail park on the land at Treyew Road in Truro, with claims the development would potentially create 150 jobs.

A new ground and training facility for the club would be developed as part of the development proposals.

Pete Masters, chairman of Truro City, told the BBC: "At some point the Treyew Road site will be developed.

"We are trying to find a solution where the club gets a new ground and enhanced facilities, and Truro gets a development that satisfies everybody's needs."

Land at Nansavallan Farmn near Killiow is one of three potential sites for the club's new ground.

No formal planning application has been submitted.
