Aspiring models are being encouraged to audition to appear at Falmouth University’s graduate fashion show.

This year the show will be attended by London-based model agency, Established, who will be scouting for young Cornish talent.

As in previous years, Falmouth is running a casting in a search for volunteer models to showcase the final degree show work of fashion design and performance sportswear design students.

Young aspiring models, male and female between the ages of 16 and 25 are invited to attend the casting between 10am and 1pm on Monday, May 12, in the fashion department of the Falmouth Campus at Woodlane.

The graduate fashion show will take place in a car park in Truro on May 21 and will be attended by Mark Evans, director of Established Models, whose team has over 50 years combined experience working for leading agencies including Models 1, Storm, IMG, Elite and Premier.

Mark is excited to be part of what he sees as the first intensive model search of Cornwall.

“The London agencies have always been aware of the great potential of Cornish models, but have normally limited themselves to a weekend of scouting on Fistral Beach,” he said.

“By teaming up with Falmouth University we hope to be able to cover the entire county for untapped model talent.

“The British fashion industry is considered to be one of the most creative and dynamic in the world and with tastes constantly evolving. We at Established are hoping to scout a range of talent who could have a successful global career in modelling.

“Anyone thinking they have what it takes should get involved with the Graduate Fashion Show through one of the castings and we look forward to seeing them in the show."
