The biggest local produce market in Cornwall returns to Lemon Quay in Truro today.

Fifty of Cornwall's most exciting artisan food and drink producers along with some of Cornwall’s top chefs,will be showcasing their products and skills at the event.

"This year’s May line-up of chefs is very diverse in skills and style with a wealth of experience,’ says Steve Whittingham of Fodders Restaurant, Truro.

"All of our chef’s are well versed in using the best Cornish ingredients which you will find on offer throughout the market"

Nine cooking demonstrations are scheduled throughout the two days with a fantastic line-up of chefs from some of the best restaurants in the County.

Using fresh produce from the market, cooking will take place in the chef’s tent starting at 10.15am.

Ken Symons from Olivers Restaurant, Falmouth starts at 10.15am followed by Dale Macintosh of The Merchants Manor Hotel, Falmouth at 11.30am. The talents of Fiona Were, now at the Mullion Cove Hotel, Mullion Cove can be seen at 12.45pm and last but not least, Emily Scott from Harbor Kitchen, Port Issac cooks her special brand of lively cuisine at 2.00pm.

Admission to the chef’s tent is free with good disabled access. The Big Produce Market starts at 9.00am until 4.00pm.
