Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously assaulted in Penzance at the weekend.
A 23-year-old woman was walking up the steps by the Arcade, between Market Jew Street and Bread Street, when a group of five or six men pushed her from behind onto her front.
The woman, from Penzance, was "punched, kicked and sexually assaulted" before she managed to get up and run off.
She suffered visible injuries to her knees and hand during the incident that happened between 11.45pm on Saturday, May 10 and 12.45am on Sunday, May 11.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw a group of men in the area at this time, or knows who they are, to contact police.
