Methodists from Asia have visited the place where their founder John Wesley preached on 18 occasions near Redruth.
The group of 30 from Singapore visited Gwennap Pit as part of a tour of Methodist sites in Britain.
The amphitheatre is now part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.
A brief talk on the history of Gwennap Pit was given by the Rev Ian Haile, and the visitors sang hymns in the Pit and the little Busveal Chapel alongside.
They then enjoyed pasties, sandwiches, saffron cake and other delicacies.
