Falmouth Packet: Former 'Miss Falmouth' denies assault charges Former 'Miss Falmouth' denies assault charges

Former Miss Falmouth, Demelza Laura Kitts, of Windsor Court in Falmouth, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault when she appeared before Truro Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Kitts, 37, is alleged to have assaulted Joanna Robinson and Jason Jennings on April 20 and is also accused of using violence to secure entry into 15 Windsor Court on the same day.

The case management hearing heard from prosecutor Gail Hawkley that the issue in the assault cases would be one of self defence. The matter was adjourned until July 30 for trial at the magistrates’ court.

Bail was given with conditions that Kitts does not contact the two alleged assault victims or go to 15 Windsor Court.
