Former crew members from HMS Cornwall travelled from all over the globe for a reunion and fundraiser at the St Michael’s Hotel.
They came from California, Canada, the Gulf, the Far East, Ireland and all over the United Kingdom to meet in Falmouth, as the town was affiliated to the ship when she was commissioned by Princess Diana.
The group also invited Mary Murfin from Children's Hospice south west, as they had managed to raise just over £1,000 for the charity.
Organiser Tom Sweeney said: “All in all we had a great weekend and were able to provide great fundraising for a very needy charity.
It [the charity] helps build precious memories for families whose children are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.”
