Thieves have stolen at least £500 from Falmouth Town Football Club after breaking in and raiding a fruit machine.

The burglary took place between 11.40pm on Monday last week and 1am the following day.

It is understood security bolts and the front door of the club in Bickland Water Road were damaged, before the burglars forced their way into the gambling machine.

Police have logged that £500 was taken, although this figure has been reported as estimated closer to £900 by the club.
