High society met the high seas when King Charles School held a pirates and princesses party to raise money for an outdoor play area.
Children from the nursery and reception classes came in fancy dress to play games and take part in a colouring competition and a fancy dress competition, as well as getting their faces painted and taking a party bag home with them.
Debbie Byrom, the assistant head for younger years, said: “It’s been really well attended, with almost all the children from the nursery and both reception classes.
“There are lots of mothers and fathers who are helping and have all been supporting the development of the outside area, because they know how important it is for the children.”
