Falmouth's Core Gym to reopen with new specialist services for disabled
10:00am Tuesday 20th May 2014 in News
The Core Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in Falmouth is undergoing a transformation which will culminate in July with the unveiling of its new ground floor inclusive facility, The Venue which will boast full disabled access and facilities including the Health Café and sensory space.
The new safe space will feature a special floor that will be created in autism spectrum friendly colours and zones.
The sensory environment is ideal for clients with conditions on the autistic spectrum, clients with physical impairments who cannot access other facilities in Cornwall and many more.
“There is no other provision on this scale of this kind in the area and no other local team of exercise rehab specialists with the knowledge, skill, experience and enthusiasm to drive this vision forward,” said Core owner Helen Tite. “We have worked closely with sensory specialists and occupational therapists within Cornwall to ensure this facility meets the needs of the Cornish community.
“Our level four team can work with you to create an activity programme exclusively for your members with a reduced instructor hire rate for the classes should you choose to use us. We are excited to offer our space for exclusive hire at a special rate for local charities that may also benefit from this unique experience.”
This special offer is for a limited period until May 31 and requires an upfront payment for the year. For further details call The Core on 310761 or visit www. www.thecore.uk.net.
