Falmouth Packet: Jobs could go at Cornish milk depot Jobs could go at Cornish milk depot

Jobs are under threat at a milk distribution depot in Cornwall.

Consultations have begun into the future of 58 jobs at the depot at Pensilva, Muller Wiseman Dairies has confirmed.

A reduction in the amount of milk supplied from the depot has been blamed for the move.

A Usdaw union spokesman said: "Müller Wiseman Dairies has today confirmed that it is to begin a statutory 30 day consultation with Usdaw on the future of its distribution depot at Pensilva in Cornwall, which affects 58 posts.

"We are deeply concerned at the situation and we will examine the business case in detail. This is a difficult and worrying time for the staff and we will do all we can to support our members."
