A student from the University of Exeter, Tremough Campus in Penryn is asking Falmouth residents to help her with research into how to improve community engagement in Falmouth.

Naomi White is calling on users of the thepacket.co.uk website to spend just 15 minutes of their time filling out a short survey about their views on environmental issues.

The survey will identify people’s current levels of engagement and attitudes towards the environment as well as barriers and motivations to participation in community activities.

Falmouth has many social enterprises that work tirelessly to improve their local community frequently without much support. These groups are run by local volunteers who work hard to improve people’s life chances and local community environments.

Money and resources are generated from selling their goods or services which are then reinvested back into the local community – meaning these groups are run by the community, for the community.

It is hoped that the survey will find ways that will help to increase the amount of engagement between local social enterprises and the wider Falmouth community.

If you would like to improve community engagement and help Falmouth become a more connected place to live, Naomi would love to hear your views.

All the readers who are happy to give their contact details will be entered into a draw to win a £15 gift card as a thank you for taking the time to help.
