Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left injured in an assault in Launceston.

Police received reports of a grievous bodily harm in Church Street around 8.20pm on May 17.

The 46-year-old victim was left with an inch-long cut above his eye and a cut to the rear of his head following the assault near to Harvey’s Bar.

Police are now looking to speak to a group of up to four men in connection with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or with any information is asked to please call police on 101 ref. CR/073885/14.
