Cornwall Hospice Care is asking people to make a splash and raise some cash for charity at an open water swim at Trelissick House this summer.
The first ever Swim Trelissick Open Water Swim, supported by Cornwall Sports Partnership, Cornwall Aquatic Action Group and the National Trust, will take place in the grounds of the house, near Feock from 4pm on Sunday, July 13, with swimmers given the choice of a mile or half-mile open water course.
Rose Beattie, major events fundraiser for Cornwall Hospice Care, said: “We're really excited about Swim Trelissick, as it gives people who wouldn't usually consider an open water swim a chance to have a go in a more sheltered setting.”
“It's a great opportunity to swim in beautiful surroundings at Trelissick gardens, while having fun and raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care at the same time.”
All levels and abilities are welcome, aged 8 to 80 and over, and registration is £15 for adults and £8 for children under 16, including a swimming cap and post event memento.
