Police are investigating a burglary of a property in the Maenporth area of Falmouth which saw two oil paintings stolen along with a selection of jewellery and other items.
The break in happened between Sunday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 13, and anyone who may be able to help the police with their inquiries is asked to call Falmouth CID by dialling 101 and quote crime reference number CR/72725/14.
The two stolen paintings measure 27cm by 37cm and are oils on canvas by Iazaro Pasini. One shows a Mediterranean coastal scene with a fisherman and distant sailing boats and the other depicts fishermen and boats with Capri in the distance.
Also stolen were a blue oblong box with a pearl and jade three strand choker with a square gold clasp, a single pearl necklace and earrings, three solid silver bangles, a dress pendant with pink and blue ovals, gold coloured cufflinks with the Royal Army Medical Core on, two enamel bangles which are black with different colours painted on them, a heavy gold coloured chain, not hallmarked, two solid silver hallmarked napkin rings and a silver hallmarked cruet set consisting of a tray, mustard pot, salt and pepper pots.
