Two dogs have been pulled to safety after plummeting down a mineshaft near Scorrier.
The animals were enjoying a bank holiday walk when they hurtled over the edge of a shaft at Wheal Rose yesterday, Monday.
Firefighters from Redruth and Camborne were called out just before 3.45pm.
They used line rescue equipment to lower a crewmember approximately 30 feet down the shaft, to collect the fallan dogs and carry them to safety.
