A 25-year-old man remains in custody following a stabbing in Saltash.

A woman who was arrested has been released with no further action being taken.

Police were called to an address in Saltash on May 27, after reports that a man had been stabbed.

Officers arrived at the scene after being called by a member of the public at around 2pm.

The Air Ambulance was also in attendance and a local man, aged 19, was taken to Derriford Hospital suffering from a number of stab wounds to his body. 

Following enquiries, police located and arrested a man and a woman in connection with the incident. 

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or been in the area of Alamein Road this afternoon to please call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 ref log 387 270514.
