Fundraising efforts have paid off in St Keverne with the unveiling of new outdoor play equipment.
An opening party was held by St Keverne School, to celebrate the acquisition of equipment bought by the Friends group.
Joining them was Susan Bosustow, whose late father, Jimmy Rogers, left a bequest to the school, and the school’s retired lead teacher Jan Paterson who also gave a generous contribution as a leaving gift.
The event saw children from the school trying out the equipment, including a climbing area and stepping stones, for the first time.
Lucinda Tylor, from the Friends of St Keverne School (FoSKS) group, said: “It was a pleasure to be able to thank some of those who have supported our fundraising activities over the years – dog shows, Jonny Cowling, summer fayres etc, and to show how much the equipment is appreciated.”
