Families enjoyed a weekend of all things coastal over the Bank Holiday at the Seaside Supersized event at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth.
The weekend of seaside inspired activities included a chance to meet crews from the RNLI and Royal Navy Search and Rescue, learn all about lifesaving equipment and pick up sea safety tips, as well as creating picture postcards taking part in the design of a colossal coastal collage.
Communications manager at the museum, Michael Sweeney, said: “It was a successful event. We do this every half-term, children’s activities over a big weekend, and this one was bigger because of the Bank Holiday. We did it for three days.
“We’re good friends with the Royal Navy Search and Rescue guys and they will be coming back later in the year for a small event to meet the public and share experiences with the children.
“It’s always really good for us, regardless of how many people visit, always a good event, and it was definitely a busy weekend because of the weather.”
