A teenager suffered serious leg injuries yesterday after falling on the rocks between Swanpool and Gylyngvase.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were paged to respond with ambulance personnel after the report that the 17 year old girl had a "fairly serious leg injury".
A Coastguard spokesman said: "The casualty was very close to the outlets to the pond with the tide rising. We put team members over with her for initial first aid and preparation for recovery.
"Once the Paramedic on scene had stabilised a fairly serious leg injury, we were able to get the casualty onto our stretcher."
"We the slowly moved the packaged casualty over the rocks using the 'caterpillar' techinque to a small safety boat supplied by Elemental water sports. Once safely aboard, team members in water rescue gear along with two staff from Elemental were able to wade the vessel back to shore."
"Once home and not so dry, we carried the casualty over to the the waiting ambulance. Big thanks to the guys from Elemental for their assistance."
