Seafood enthusiasts braved the rain over the weekend for the Falmouth Fish Festival at Events Square.
The festival, now in its fifth year, featured arts and crafts and Cornish produce stalls in a sheltered marquee, as well as seafood sellers, and a fish auction on both days, which raised around £500 for the Fishermen’s Mission.
Mike Rangecroft, of Falmouth Festivals, said: “It went very well, we were delighted, especially considering the weather. It was an open air event, apart from the marquees, and it was very much consistent with May weather. We had good music, good cookery demonstrations, the Radio Cornwall presenters did a good job as MCs.
“All in all we made the most of it. We’re hardy in Cornwall, and whatever the weather we make the most of what we can, and we did.”
