A woman was saved from the sea off the Roseland peninsula on Tuesday evening by RNLI volunteers.

Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was called by Falmouth Coastguard shortly after 8pm, following reports of a person in difficulties in the water at Porthcurnick Beach near Portscatho, and arrived at the scene just before 8.30pm.

Falmouth RNLI said: “The casualty was located at the waters edge and two lifeboat crew were put ashore to assist. The casualty was taken into the care of the police and ambulance personnel.”
