RNLI volunteers raise £720 outside Falmouth supermarkets

First published in News

Falmouth RNLI volunteers have collected £720 outside the town’s two Tesco stores, with a total of £345 donated at the Tesco Express store and £375 at Tesco Metro.

Now extra volunteers are needed to help the Falmouth RNLI Guild with their summer fundraising, in particular at the International Sea Shanty Festival later this month and the Tall Ships Regatta in August.

Help is needed to sell programmes at various venues throughout the shanty festival, which runs from June 13 to 15.

The RNLI is the only charity licensed to collect during Tall Ships. The RNLI shop will be open until 8pm and the charity will also have a gazebo within the docks.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Pat on 01326 317522.
