A cocker spaniel had a lucky escape on Sunday, after taking a tumble down a mine shaft near Helston.
Firefighters from Helston and two fire appliances from Camborne were called out to Ashton just after 3.30pm after the pet dog fell 30 metres down an old mine shaft.
A fire service spokesman said that the dog was rescued uninjured using lines.
