A prominent Helston shop has had its windows smashed in an attack that left a second business also damaged.
Mother’s sandwich, salad and pasty shop in Coinagehall Street was targeted at around 9.30pm on Friday, May 30.
Extensive damage was caused to the right hand window, with a large hole left in the glass, and further damage caused to the door and left hand window.
The broken door pane showed blood dripping from where the vandal had apparently injured themselves.
It is thought the other business to have suffered criminal damage was the Merchant’s Bar, on the opposite side of the road.
Sergeant Ashley Putman, from Helston Police Station, said officers had identified a suspect, but had yet to speak to the person as they were subsequently taken to hospital.
n Anyone who has any information that can help officers is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number CR/077356/14.
