Another week and another star to spot for Falmouth celebrity watchers.

This time it was former X-Factor winner Matt Cardle, who was seen in the town last week enjoying the sun at Gyllyngvase Beach and later taking a fishing trip.

It is understood he was staying with Simon Cowell’s brother Tony and his new wife Emma Lloyd-Cowell, who have a home in the town.

It was a flying visit before Matt, who won the 2010 series, left to play at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Tickets to attend an X-Factor live show later this year are currently being auctioned on eBay in aid of Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Atlantic Challenge. The auction ends just before 9pm this Saturday.
