The Beltship Company’s self-unloading bulk carrier Gypsum Integrity has docked in the Queen Elizabeth dry-dock for general repairs and painting.

This is the second ship from the Beltship of Monaco fleet to have been won by A&P Falmouth. Last November the CSL Argosy docked here.

The modern bulker has a discharge rate to a maximum of 3,000 tonnes per hour for gypsum and 2,500 tonnes for coal.

Using the flexible boom and precise control of the discharge rate makes the vessel suitable for discharge to almost any receiving facility including enclosed hoppers, barges and trucks.

The vessel is double hulled, including bunker tanks, and utilises bow thrusters and a high-lift rudder that together give her excellent handling characteristics.

Beltship management supports the charity All as One in Sierra Leone. All as One supports orphaned and destitute children in Sierra Leone by providing a loving home, medical care, education and a chance of a better future.

Gypsum Integrity will sail from Falmouth carrying toys for the charity donated by people in the Falmouth and Penryn area.

Any further donations should be dropped to A&P Falmouth at the docks before June 25, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Larger items can be collected, if necessary, from the Falmouth and Penryn area.
