A medley of stalls and activities will be on offer in Mullion next Sunday (June 29) when the secondary school hosts its annual summer open day.

The Mullion Midsummer Medley will be the ninth annual event of its kind and open to the public from noon until 4pm.

Over the course of the afternoon there will be various demonstrations taking place, including fencing and judo – and visitors will be encouraged to have a go.

There will also be a talent show involving students, with the audience able to pick the winners. Music will be taking place throughout the afternoon.

There will be a variety of stalls including jewellery, crafts, cards, pictures and gifts, plus personalised jewellery, wooden toys and textiles. For foodies there will be sweets and the wares of Croutons & Chutneys.

The fire service will be on hand offering advice, aerial photography will be for sale and there will be magic on show.

The afternoon will end with the drawing of a grand raffle, in which the top prize is £100, which students have been encouraged to sell tickets for. The student who sells the most tickets will receive a cash prize of £25. Tickets will be available from the school office and on the day.

There are still some pitches available and anyone interested should contact Sue Bennett at the school office on 01326 240098.
