Falmouth unisex toilets 'not as private as they might be'

First published in News

Some members of the public are unhappy with the current unisex toilet arrangements at Gyllyngvase beach, according to recent discussions at Falmouth Town Council.

Councillor Candy Atherton said the facilities were “not quite as private as they might be,” while Councillor Steve Gray suggested that if anyone had a real issue with using the shared facilities, they could use the disabled toilet instead.

As the arrangements are relatively new, it was decided to revisit the issue after the summer.

I would be pretty annoyed if I was a woman using what had been just the ladies toilets. After all not all men can be bothered lifting the seat and some don't have a great aim!

Not me obviously, as with everyone who comments on here I'm perfect.... :)

Wish they would open the urinals again though! I quite often have a pram with me which means the only option is the disabled toilet but this normally has someone getting changed in it! Is it really that much more expensive to have them both open?!
