Police are warning cyclists to lock or lose it after six bicycles were been stolen from the Falmouth area in the last week.

After the thefts, ranging from outside the Gylly Beach Cafe to Mylor Bridge, officers say that bikes left unattended need to be secured.

A black/grey mountain bike was taken from the back of the Gylly Beach Cafe overnight between June 11/12 (CR/081048/14) with another, a black Dawes road bike, stolen the following day, June 13, from Kimberley Park Road (CR/081261/14). The bike had a pannier, which was broken.

On June 15 in Market Street, Falmouth an unsecured silver mountain bike was stolen (CR/081662/14), while on the same day between 8am and 9am, a pink girls’ mountain bike was stolen from Tresilian Road (CR/081975/14).

Finally, sometime between June 5 and 12, two bicycles were stolen from Passage Hill, Mylor Bridge – a ladies’ black Carrera hybrid cycle and a green/yellow Cannondale mountain bike.
