A drink driver who had a two-year-old child with him in his car has been banned from driving for 15 months at Truro Magistrates’ Court.
Mitchell John Gilbert, 24, of William Street, Camborne, who pleaded guilty to drink driving at Hayle on April 19, was 27 points over the limit for alcohol in blood.
A report was given to the police after an incident with his wife, and when officers saw him he was smelling of alcohol, having driven away from home with the child after drinking the previous evening.
Gilbert, who told the magistrates he would lose his job without his driving licence, was fined £250 and £110 costs and surcharge.
