Children's Hospice South West are calling for landlubbers to jump out of an aeroplane 15,000ft in the air for their fundraising 'Pirate Plunge'

The charity is looking for 20 hardy souls to take part in the special one-off skydive taking place July 20 at Dunkeswell Airfield, Honiton, Devon.

Jumpers will be provided with a pirate onesie and need to raise £395 in sponsorship for Children’s Hospice South West in order to take part.

This special sky dive is to support rowers Chris Walters and Elliott Dale who are currently rowing the North Atlantic to raise £300,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.

Marina Leadbetter, CHSW Event Fundraiser, says, “We have two very brave men rowing the Atlantic Ocean as we speak. They set off on June 7 from New York, and they are attempting to set a new world record by rowing to the Isles of Scilly in less than 55 days to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

“To support this incredible challenge we giving people the opportunity to take part in their own amazing challenge by holding a one off ‘Pirate Plunge’ skydive on Sunday, July 20. On the day, everyone will receive their very own pirate onesie to jump in. Twenty skydivers dressed as pirates floating down to earth will definitely be a sight worth seeing.”
