Members of a Helston based dance group preparing for a charity show called Live For The Applause are hoping for some of that themselves when they perform.

Teresa Blee Dance Ltd holds the event every two years and this time it will be raising money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

The show is to take place at the Epworth Hall in Helston on Saturday, July 5 at 1.30pm and 6pm, and again on Sunday, July 6 at 2pm.

More than 100 dancers will be performing, who take classes at the school. They range from the youngest beginners of just three years old taking their first steps on stage, through to seasoned teenagers who have taken part in many performances and the newly formed adult tap class.

All the various dance styles taught at the school will be featured including tap, modern/jazz, ballet, character and pointe work.

They will be accompanied by a variety of music, from musicals and films such as The Hobbit and Stomp as well as popular tunes from Lilly Allen, Michael Jackson and Pharrell Williams.

Tickets are available from Heathercraft in Helston or from the box office on 01326 568936 at £6 for adults and £4 for under 16s.
