A host of performers will be putting the “show” into the West Cornwall Motor Show this Sunday when the annual event returns for 2014.

After months of build up it is now time to celebrate all things motoring, with classic and vintage cars and motorcycles on display alongside the latest models from dealerships in the area.

Held for the third year in the grounds of Wendron Cricket and Football Club, the event is not just for car lovers, however.

There will be entertainment for all the family, with children’s activities, trade and craft stands and refreshments provided all day.

On the specially constructed main stage a full programme awaits. Among the acts will be the Searchers Old West Re-Enactors, a group of western enthusiasts endeavouring to keep the spirit of the Old West alive in Cornwall. There will be “shoot ’em up” shows, plus a “town” set up with authentic tents and camp fires cooking real food.

Penryn-based Swamp Circus will be running two circus workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, showing off their skills before inviting people to have a go themselves.

Professional stilt walkers will be on hand to show how it’s done and other performers will be roaming the showground.

Also performing will be Patrick Matthews’ Elvis Tribute, plus music from The Catch, The Singing Seagulls, Grizzly Paw, Wendron Silver Band the Visionary Art of Sound, plus dancing from West Cornwall Morris Men.

Entry costs £4 per adult and £1 per child. As the site is a sports facility, only guide dogs will be allowed on site.
