Organisers of an exhibition titled Flushing and War is looking for contributions from anyone living in, or who has historic ties, with the village.

The exhibition, which will run from August 15 to 16, will cover the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Falklands Conflict and the Suez Crisis.

If anyone thinks they may have any photos, artefacts or stories they are willing to share with the public they should head to the market in the Village Club on Saturday, June 28, at 10am. For those contributors who would prefer not to exhibit original items, the exhibition’s organisers will have a scanner and camera there to make copies.

Packet readers who are unable to attend Saturday’s market, but would like to help with the forthcoming exhibition, should contact Pam Rowan on 01326 373629 or Marlene Hurrell on 01326 374724.
