A doorman on duty at a social event at Penryn Campus was hit with glancing blows twice, when a 21-year-old man swung a metal medical case at him after objecting to his friend being restrained.
At Truro Magistrates’ Court Luke Anthony Pentecost, of Meadowbank Road, Falmouth, pleaded guilty to assaulting James Ware at Penryn on January 12.
Anita Kennett, for the CPS, said the medical case belonged to St John Ambulance workers who were in attendance at the event.
Pentecost, who has previous convictions, was sent to Truro Crown Court on July 17 for sentence, where he is also due to appear for breaching a crown court suspended sentence.
