The commanding officer of HMS St Albans, Commander Catherine Jordan, received a warm welcome from Falmouth’s mayor, John Body; his wife, Linda; town manager, Richard Gates and Falmouth’s Royal Naval liaison officer, Lt Cdr Mike Lynch, recently.
Mr Body, who was elected mayor last month, said: “Falmouth has a close and long association with the Royal Navy and I am pleased to be able to recognise and continue that.”
Commander Jordan added: “I have been fortunate to visit Falmouth five times in three different Royal Navy warships but for many of the ship’s company it was their first visit. We received a really warm welcome and it was a great location for the team to recuperate prior to our next period of trials at sea.”
