While the South West looks set to see downpours over the weekend, the latest weather forecast from the Met Office shows West Cornwall escaping the worst.
The forecast says that there will be some sunny spells but that further heavy and thundery downpours are expected to develop.
These are now perhaps more likely in the south and east, while Cornwall may stay relatively dry. Maximum Temperature 19C.
The outlook for Sunday to Tuesday is now for plenty of fine weather with variable cloud and sunny spells. The odd shower is possible though, with a risk of some rain on Tuesday in around average temperatures.
